Step 5

    The next step involves soldering in two of the four 1N4001 diodes.. It is very important that the diodes are placed correctly according to the side that has the color band. See the illustration to be sure of the way to insert the diodes. The side without the color band is soldered into holes A3 and B3 while the side with the color band goes to hole A6 and B6.

Step 6

    Now add the other two remaining diodes with the color band side towards the perf-board as shown in the illustration below. The hole connections are A2 to B2 and A7 to B7.
