Adding Milkshape Animations
Milkshape by chumbalumsoft, is a popular modeling tool among the indie community. To add animations from Milkshape to FreeVector, first determine what type of model will have to be exported. If it is a single mesh with many bone, then it is best exported as a skinned mesh. This then requires that it be a single mesh only. If it is made up of many subsets, each attached to their own bone, then it may be exported in Retained Mode using KeyFrames. Each of these options are found under the DirectX JT Exporter.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the textures need to be in the same directory as the milkshape model when they are assigned to the mesh and then exported.
