Making Games with FVGameMaker
FVGame Maker is a simple tool that takes the media log of a game and uses it to copy the listed files to the necesary folders that are also created by FVGameMaker. To use the program, be sure that media logging is turned on in the game and play it form start to finish. Then run FVGameMaker and select the directory or drive that will contain your resulting game. In the box listed Executable File Name, type the name of the directory that will hold all the sub directories. When this is done, hit the load Media Log button and find the game Media.log file. The program will create the folders and then copy the media files over to their specific direcories. When this is complete, a blank message box will appear signifying it is complete. If a box listing a name of a file appears, then it means that FVGameMaker could not find that particular file. Check the name carefully in the media.log file.
To finalize the creation of the directories, copy FEngine.exe and coldet.dll to the new directory. Then rename the FEngine.exe file to the name of you game. With this step complete, it is now time to make the install file.
